I sacrifice short-term efficiency and pursue long-term scale. If you optimize for the former, you wouldn't mind copy and paste. In that case, you're sacrificing scale. In the information age, products and services are rapidly copied and implemented elsewhere. So, if you want a scale, you must be the source of creativity — so that you can copy it from the origin — namely, your brain. Then, the earliest copier will be yourself. I wanted to understand the concepts of pre-calc and trigonometry deeply because understanding is the key to being creative.
